I do not want a friend who smiles when I smile

Man, it's freezing. If our thermometer were even an inch longer I'd start worrying about how cold it really was out there. Everyone should just stay inside for the time being and not risk it. And remember, one kind word can warm the worst winter day.

Atora, I still owe you a few dozen apologies, so I made some of my dad's fried chicken and some hot chocolate-- well, I tried to make some of my dad's fried chicken, but he's my dad, you know? Anyway, we should eat something, and have a talk.

After all this stuff is over, I'm thinking of joining the police force again. I've heard good things about it.

Is anyone interested in helping me form a disaster preparedness task force? I wonder what the city's opinion on militias is.

Isn't the police force here kind of a militia to begin with?

I've been here long enough, and I've tested long enough to think I can say this. And watching whatever it is that mage did to other people over the past few days...

I hope they're okay, by the way. That must have taken a lot of effort, judging by how much area it covered. Skill, or just natural talent?

Anyway, if anyone in this place is ever cursed, by the gods or by an individual, I can't really undo it but I can nullify the effects. I can't explain the Hazama-Ryuu...but I can nullify a curse for an individual or a few individuals, as long as they stay in one place. I know, that's a lot to ask, but there are some things that are worth it.


By the way...that offer for ice cream and creme sodas is still on. Girls or boys. I'd like to get to know more of you. And you know you're always invited, Atora ♥. I know how much you like dessert.

Thanks to everyone who gave me info on this place. I even found myself a new phone that actually works here. I'm crashing on a friend and compatriot's couch for the moment, but I can't put a lady out for much longer.
